Why do some Arabs claim that todays Jews are not Israelites and that the majority of Israeli Jews are Ashkenaz?

The answer is quite simple. 900,000 Jews left Arabs countries. But recognize that would mean to recognize exchage of the population and even worse for Arabs. It would mean that by any account Arabs own to Jews, and not Jews to Arabs.
