Do YOU personally pay attention to what names mean when naming?

I named my first daughter without even looking at what her name meant. We looked at the meanings of the names we liked for our other kids but none of the meanings are particularly meaningful. We basically just picked the names because of what they meant, not because of what they meant. Their names are: Meredith (nn. Merrie), Piper, George (nn. Georgie), Kinsey, and Diana.
